10 Weeks!!! DOUBLE DIGITS!!!!

So its been a while since Ive updated my weekly progress. Mainly because nothing significant has been going on! But today marks the 10 week mark. We are in the double digits! And 2 weeks left in the first trimester! I cant believe how fast this is going. Especially considering we found out SOO early.

how far along? 10 weeks
how are you measuring?  I wasnt measured at the OB appt. Maybe soon!
size of baby? about the size of a kumquat! I have no idea really what a kumquat is, but its significantly bigger than a pea!
heartbeat?  not sure yet!We saw the heartbeat on the ultrasound at our drs appt last week, but didnt get a BPM.
total weight gain/loss? 2 lbs
maternity clothes? I had to break down and buy some maternity jeans. My regular jeans are so uncomfortable :( A few pairs wont even button.
stretch marks? yes, but nothing new. I started out with them :P
sleep? Ive been sleeping pretty well at night
best moment this week?  We got to see the baby last week on the ultrasound, we also told the rest of our friends, AND we got a new house :) Lots going on!
movement? not yet
food cravings? Sweet for sure! Nothing in particular. Just sweet stuff.
gender predictions? Out of the few people we have told, they think its a boy. The girls refer to baby as she. I have no idea at this point! My sister says girl. My mom says its to early for her to tell.
what i miss:  its too early to miss anything yet!
what i'm looking forward to:  experiencing this pregnancy with 2 sweet little girls. I cant wait until the can feel baby move, and until we get to see him/her. Im also excited to have all of these experiences with Ray. He is so loving and caring. He already rubs my belly 100 times a day.
how are you feeling? I am feeling pretty good. No morning sickness as of yet.Keeping my fingers crossed it stays that way!I have been having some issues with dizziness and being light headed. Some all day nausea. It comes and goes randomly, but its not the greatest feeling in the world. Ive been sent to urgent care already for fluids. I hope these feelings subside after the first trimester!

Sharing our big news!

Its been hard to keep this baby a secret. But I think we've done pretty good! When we finally got around to sharing our news, here is how we did it.

Ray told his mom and dad over the phone. Unfortunately, neither of them live close to us. But it was fun to watch his face light up as he told them he was going to be a dad :)

When it came to telling my mom and sister, I wanted to do something special. We waited until we got to the 6 week mark to share. We had a few appointments that we were able to see our HcG numbers rising perfectly. So I felt comfortable to include them at that point. We invited them over for dinner. Chinese food :) After everyone had finished eating, we passed out fortune cookies. We put special fortunes in the cookies before hand.

It was so fun to watch their faces as the read their fortunes!!!

They were both very happy. I think it took a minute for my mom to grasp what she was reading..that it wasnt "just a fortune from her cookie" lol. I felt so much better telling them!

When it came time to share the news with "general population" we wanted to wait until we had our first appointment with the doctor. First official one at least. We were able to see the baby on the ultrasound, and see a perfect little heartbeat :) It wasnt too long after that, that we shared it with the rest of our friends!
