Patience has never been my strong suit. I dont try to deny that one bit lol. Since we found out SOOOO early about this baby, the 20 week mark when we would find out what we were having seemed like a million years away. At our last doctor appointment, the nurse said after my next visit, they would schedule our anatomy scan for 4 weeks out. Which put me right at 20 weeks. Well, when we went out to schedule our next appointment, the receptionist told me the dr was out at the 4 week mark for my next appointment, so we would have to go 5 weeks out. So that would put me at 23 weeks before we find out what we are having! Finding out so early has been a curse and a blessing. It seems like time is going fairly fast, except when it comes to the this.
So I researched places here that offer elective ultrasounds. I found a place that can do gender scans at 15 weeks, and Ray and I came to the agreement we would go at 16 weeks. I was so excited!!!
Until.....
15 weeks 1 day..... :) I had made it to the minimum of when they could tell us, and even though we planed to go the next week, I just couldnt wait. Turns out, neither could Ray. So we planned one of the best date nights we will ever take. We called the lady at Imaging Miracles and asked if she had any openings that evening. She had one at 7pm and could get us in! And so it was done.
Its no secret that pretty much everyone was rooting for a girl. Ray wanted a girl. I wanted a girl. BOTH girls wanted a sister, and very much voiced their opinion about how they felt about a brother lol. My grandma thought I was having a boy. My sister felt boy. My mom felt girl. So there was a mix of what everyone wanted and what everyone felt we were having.
You know those silly gender tests? The old wives tales? The chinese charts? I did all of them just to see lol. Here is what I got
Chinese Gender Chart-BOY
Baking Soda Test-GIRL
Bleach test-GIRL
Ring test-GIRL
Acne Myth-GIRL
We drop the girls off with my friend. And head to our appointment. I was excited the whole way there. And nervous. Nervous???? Sounds silly. But I was lol. We get there, the lady greets us (she is amazing by the way) and takes us back! She talks to us a little bit. And starts the ultrasound. The baby had its back to us, so it was facing my back. But there it was! A sweet little baby. Just moments away from finding out if our "it" baby is a boy or girl. She shakes my belly a little to get baby to move around a bit. And then, there they were, 2 little legs. The lady is quiet for a second and then says "Well Im not seeing a penis!" She continues to look a little, at different angles and repeats herself about not seeing boy parts lol. There were 3 little lines which clearly mean girl. She switches the ultrasound to a 3D 4D picture. This was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen! Because I am so early, there wasnt a lot of detail, but we could see her move her arm up and cover her face. She was done with pictures at that point lol. So exciting!
So, after we got our disc with the pictures, and the goopy stuff cleaned off my belly, we headed out the door with the news that we are having another princess!!
Those 3 little lines in the middle mean baby is a girl!
3D 4D picture of our sweet girl
see her little arm raised covering her face?!
Now that we know we are having a sweet girl, its time to plan a gender reveal for our family!! I cant wait to tell them, and completely sure that it will happen soon or else I wont be able to keep it in lol.
